オーストラリアではようやく一週間経った模様ｗ

Haltechから新しいバージョンのソフトウェア一式が公開されています。当初のリリース予定の１．７のマイナーバージョンアップの１．７１みたいですが、デバッグ段階で何かあったんでしょうかね。スロットルポンプの制御方法とISCの設定項目に変更が入っているのでVVT等の新機能を使わないユーザーも再調整が必要になっているようです。

時間があれば自分の車両もバージョンアップしておくかな。

　 Coolant Correction Map
2D and 3D ‘Coolant Temperature Correction Map’ correction range now goes
from 0% to 250%. This means with the new firmware the correction used will now be
double what was previously set. To fix this simply select all points in the map, press ‘5’
to do a percentage change, and enter in 50% to halve your map. This change has been
made to help better aid with cold starting on vehicles that require values greater than
100%.

　 Boost Control
New boost control threshold value, ‘Control Point Before Target’ has to be set for
closed loop boost control to keep working. This value determines the point below the
target boost level where control begins. This used to be fixed at 20 kPa. This change has
been added for some more extreme applications of boost control where control needs to
happen earlier to stop over boosting. (Default value: 20 kPa).

　 Throttle Pumps
A new method of doing throttle pumps has been implemented. This version adds
extra injection pulses on top of the normal fuelling pulses instead of widening them. The
four throttle pump maps have been removed and replaced with a setup page. Throttle
pump setup page is accessed in the fuel setup page or by pressing "Ctrl T". Please see the
included “Throttle Pump Setup.pdf” for more information.

　 A/C Control
The delay between the increase in target RPM for A/C and the activating of the A/C
clutch output is now adjustable. This used to be fixed at 1sec. This value needs to be set
to function correctly. This has been made adjustable so that the transition from idling
with A/C off to idling with A/C on is smoother. (Default value: 1 sec).

　 Decel Cut
The RPM at which fuel is restored and the RPM at which Decel Cut will work again
are now both adjustable. In the diagram below the parts shown in blue is when the fuel is
on regardless of the conditions and the parts in red show that the fuel will be cut when all
the conditions are met. It can be seen that once the fuel has been cut and then returned,
the RPM must reach the Reset RPM before the fuel can be cut again. The Reset Value
must be higher than the Return value.
Decel Cut will now check for a throttle position that is less than the ‘Throttle Dead
Band%’. The ‘Throttle Dead Band%’ can be found in the Main Setup Page.

　 Post Start Map
The ‘Post Start Map’ has now been replaced with two maps:

o ‘Post Start Map' ; Above Operating Temp’
o ‘Post Start Map' ; Below Operating Temp’

This is done to compensate for the differences in temperature when first starting the
engine. Post start will need to be turned on again if it was being used before. ‘Engine
Operating Temp’ is set in the Main Setup page.

　 Closed Loop O2 Control
A ‘Delay Till Control’ value has been added to the O2 controller in which the time
between when the controller falls into the boundaries of being able to control till when it
actually starts control. (Default Value: 2 sec).
The O2 controller now has its own operating temperature set point, ‘Operating Temp
°C’. When the engine temperature is below this value, Closed Loop O2 will not operate.
(Default Value: 69 °C).
Renaming of parameters ‘Rate Of Change’ to ‘Proportional’ and ‘Update Speed’
to ‘Integral’ in the closed loop O2 control. This creates consistency throughout Halwin,
in which all PID parameters are labeled the same.

Front-End
　 Fixed the PWM1 pull-up on E8.
　 ‘Aux ch 2’ output is not greyed out anymore on the ‘Auxiliary Output Options
Data Page’ for E8.
　 End of injection can now be logged by laptop or viewed in the trace.

Firmware
　 Made available auxiliary outputs on the spare ignition channels when using Motronic
Trigger type.
　 Improved constant duty ignition on Motronic trigger.
　 Improved fuel pump prime time.
　 Oil Pressure Sensor calibration has been changed. Please check calibration after
upgrading firmware.

Front-end
　 The ability to import certain map types (e.g. Fuel Map or a correction map) from a
previously saved map. This can be found in the File Menu.

Firmware
　 Added alternator control for Mazda. This controls the alternator charging and to
maintain a set voltage
　 Added Low Voltage warning light. Voltage level can be set.
　 Onboard data logging can now also be activated by RPM alone. No Data logging
switch is required.
　 BAC idle control will have an output of 0% duty cycle when the RPM is zero.
　 Fuel pump output can now be inverted. A 1k pull-up resistor is required if the output
is not PWM1-4.
　 Uneven firing angle support on Standard, Motronic & Multi-tooth Trigger types.
　 Variable Cam Timing Control. (Subaru & Evo IX). Please see “Variable Cam
Timing.pdf” for more information.
　 Spare A/D’s can now be used as digital inputs. This expands the digital inputs into the
units from three to seven digital inputs. Only On/Off inputs can be used, No
frequency inputs can be read. A “On” and “Off” voltage are required. A logic state
will be kept until the opposite state it reached.
　 Closed loop O2 control has the ability to target a 3D Map. The O2 control will
continue to work as usual, but Target AFR is now taken from the “Target AFR
Map” instead of the single value.
　 An overall ignition advance trim is now available, which allows the total ignition
timing to be advanced or retarded by this amount.
　 Added trigger information for Subaru MY06 EJ25.
　 Added trigger information for Ford PIP (For older distributed Ford TFI models).
　 Added trigger information for late model Toyota (36 -2 + 3 pulse cam home) as found
on most VVTi engines.
　 Added trigger information for Cosworth.
　 Added trigger information for Mazda B, which is Mazda 323 SP20, MX5 NB, etc
　 Added in a new intercooler water spray feature. This includes:

o A digital input, ‘Intercooler Spray Input’. This can work like a normal
digital input or as a momentary switch where it only takes a small pulse to
turn it on and off.
o A digital output, ‘Intercooler Spray (Adv)’. This looks at load, RPM, throttle
position, coolant & air temperatures. This only works when the input is on.
o A digital output, ‘Intercooler Spray Armed’. This is used when the
‘Intercooler Spray Input’ on. Can be used to turn on a dash light.
This is found factory on the Mitsubishi Evo Lancers.

　 Added a digital output ‘O2 Heater Control’. Some factory ECU’s control the O2
sensor heaters. This output allows for such control. Without the O2 heater, sensor
readings may not be accurate at low engine speeds and temps.
　 Added a PWM output ‘Thermo-fan (Duty)’. This will output a duty cycle from 0%
to 100% between the two specified coolant temperature values. This type of output is
needed for Late model Mitsubishi Thermo fans.
　 Idle Control position/duty cycle will now slowly decrease from post start
position/duty to the control point instead of switching to it.
　 Added a second target boost map for closed loop boost control. This map is selectable
in the ‘Auxiliary Output Options’ for ‘Closed Loop Boost Control’ or alternatively
with the ‘Map Selection’ digital input.
　 Stepper Oil Control can now select the ‘Generic 3D RPM/LOAD Map’ to determine
its duty cycle output. This is used on Rotary Engines for Oil Metering Pump.
　 CAN communications has been added for the AIM Dash.
o The CAN Hi pin is 23 (On 26 pin Connector)
o The CAN Lo pin is 24 (On 26 pin Connector)
When using the CAN connection, please make sure to connect CAN Hi to CAN Hi of
the AIM Dash, and CAN Lo to CAN Lo of the AIM Dash. Within the AIM software,
please select the ECU Manufacturer as “AIM”, and the ECU Model as “PROT_CAN”.
